Events this week: Gospel and Latin Jazz

Hey Everyone! This Wednesday June 21st I’ll be playing keyboard with some fantastic musicians for the make music festival in Jamaica, NY. On Thursday I’ll be debuting my new latin jazz trio with Martin Shapiro (piano and trumpet) and Jack Redford (bass).  We’ll be doing a blend of latin, pop, and bebop tunes all with a latin feel. Feel free to click on “live” to get more details, or just look at the flyers below. Thanks! Hopefully I’ll be blogging more.

Big Changes

Well, I haven’t really updated the site in a while. I have a ton of backlogged videos and pictures from gigs this year, but have been busy packing boxes, looking for work, and getting ready for the big move! Eventually I’ll upload some of those. The big news is, I am now located in Middle Village (Queens), New York. With my wife and son, we are starting a new journey in the “big apple”. Thank Jesus, I have a job lined up as a teaching artist in the school system, and hopefully soon I will find performance opportunities. The big truck comes this Thursday, and off we go. We already brought up a couple small loads, but now the big 26 footer is really going to get our things there! Middle Village is a lovely little area of Queens with mom and pop restaurants, fruit markets, fish and meat markets, music stores, parks, pizza, schools and churches, and the M train right near our place. Time to get our there and bring on the “good vibes”!! I’ll miss my DMV family and friends greatly! But now I have motivation to find some shows down there now so I can come visit! Thank you D.C. for the past 3 years. And Maryland too. Go O’s. #notaYankeesfanFYI

A Busy 4th of July Weekend

This past weekend was full to the brim! From Z burger, to The National Landing, Brunswick, Havre De Grace and DC, I’m thankful to the musicians, cites, and venues I was able to perform with. Thank you to my family and friends for the support, Crush Funk Brass, Beartoe, Trey Kulp, Lauren at the City of Brunswick, Havre De Grace, William and Margie and the whole staff at Coakley’s Pub, Westlight Apartments, and the Palisades! Here are some highlights of some of the weekend.
